The RIP (raster image processing) software that powers the printer is the gold standard in image resolution building for enlargement, printer driver enhancement and color management. For photo enlargements, this software will build low resolution input photo files to a print resolution of 360ppi and the resulting print will look precisely like the original photo. The software enhances the print drivers from a 4 pass to 8 pass application that increase ink flow and definition. Color management is so advanced it can accurately produce specific color for a number of ambient lighting sources.
